ecoforyou – Issue Two proving best yet
We’ve been getting some great feedback about the latest edition of ecoforyou, including an email from one colleague who stated simply: “This is also one of the first online titles I’ve seen to really take advantage of the capabilities of a digi format – great stuff.”
But we were equally chuffed to learn that Alex Lockwood, a respected lecturer specialising in environmental journalism, had posted this blog.
Keep the comments coming and remember – send the magazine onto a friend.

Ecoforyou – Issue Two
Well, what can we say.
It’s been so busy with news and announcements that the next issue of ecoforyou is now, finally, almost upon us.
Check back tomorrow – we should be live by then!

Sustainable City Awards – Get Your Entries In Quick
Busy tweaking some bits n bobs for the next edition of ecoforyou, but we thought we ought to try and spread the word about one news item, given the closing date isn’t that far away.
The Sustainable City Awards are accepting entries until Friday, December 5, with a new category this year which includes Food for the first time.
Some will have heard of it before, others won’t, so for more detail, visit www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/sca.

Eco Connecting People
Phew. As much as we’re desperately trying to update this blog as often as we can, such has been the huge interest in ecoforyou that it’s been almost impossible to fit all the news in every day – so please bear with us as we find our feet!
But we thought it would be well worthwhile telling you about the guys at Eco Connect who launched on the very same day as us.

Robert Hokin, who set the whole thing up (with a bunch of great people), dropped by our offices in Glasgow the other day there and wow – have they got a lot going on.
We’re hoping that, as time passes, we might be able to work a lot of ideas together, but in the meantime, we’ve signed up to their new online community, and already we’re making new environmental contacts around the world.
For anybody interested in, or working on, environmentally related issues, it would be well worth a look.

Remember, Remember, Issue Two out in November
Issue One of ecoforyou is hardly out the way and already the team are frolicking atop the Autumn leaves hunting for stories to fill November’s issue.
We’ve been inundated with ideas from PR companies offer ‘green’ products – some more eco friendly than others it has to be said.
And we’ve been making lots of new friends with our link on Facebook sending a bundle of new readers our way – even if they are a bit shy in leaving comments.
The award winning team at Yudu Media who host our mag are also promising to spread the word too and we hope others will do the same – send the link to your friends, your colleagues and clients – because it’s absolutely free to do.
Next up, advertising, with lots of inquiries to wade through as buying agencies who’ve already seen Issue One pass it down the line to their clients for consideration.
Anyone else who thinks they might want to be included should just drop us a line at info@ecoforyou.co.uk

ecoforyou Publishers Planet Ink Ltd Earns Award Nomination
We’re all very pleased this morning to learn that Planet Ink Ltd, publishers of ecoforyou, have been shortlisted in the Scottish Magazine Awards for the second year in a row.
It’s for our first digital magazine – Switch On – created for broadcaster Setanta Sports, which is in the running for Customer Magazine of the Year.
ecoforyou, sadly, came out too late to be entered into this year’s competition, but our hopes are high that with everyone’s help, we can do so next year.

Going Green
It’s like waiting for a Stagecoach bio-bus – you hang around for ages and then three come along at once.
The very same day as ecoforyou went live, those lovely people over at http://eco-connect.com/unveiled their plans for a support group and networking community for green innovations.
In London’s Kew Gardens, Zac Goldsmith was among their keynote speakers at the grand launch event.
We, on the other hand, had a pint in Glasgow’s world famous Horseshoe Bar.
However we do plan to catch up with chief executive Robert Hokin over the next few weeks, so watch this space.
Also, today, we see thathttp://www.greenmystyle.com/ has gone live offering a daily dose of ethical fashion, beauty and good old fashioned gossip.
Congratulations to founding editor Sarah Woodhead and all her team, we wish them all the very best.
